The Central Coast is our idea of paradise for so many reasons, but we especially love how there are always plenty of things happening and something interesting going on.

With a jam-packed calendar of events including pop-up dining experiences, markets, festivals, outdoor cinemas, community sporting events and live music, you’re guaranteed to find fun things to do on the Central Coast, no matter what time of year you visit.

Still, while we love the Central Coast in every season, it can be hard not to have a favourite, especially when the sun comes out and makes everything bright and beautiful.

Summer on the Coast really is as good as it gets, making it the ideal time for a holiday or a staycation. The weather is glorious — perfect for hitting the beach or the pool or enjoying alfresco dining or coffee and cocktails next to the sea — and the funky local markets are in full swing. It’s also prime time for festivals and live music, and, as we gear up to the holidays, there are plenty of fun Christmas events on the cards too.

So, in honour of the warmer days — and to help you get into the holiday spirit — here’s a quick roundup of some of the amazing things happening on the Central Coast this Summer.

Sunday Funkday at Terrigal Beach House, Terrigal

Is there anything better than spending an afternoon sitting next to the ocean, listening to great live music and enjoying fantastic food and drinks? We don’t think so.

On every Sunday throughout the summer months, Terrigal Beach House’s Sunday Funkdays have become a Central Coast staple and a great spot for a Sunday sundowner to finish the weekend on a high. Live music from the Shakedown Syndicate starts at 3 pm, but feel free to come down early to grab a cold one, grab a good spot and enjoy the sea view.

Spanning across four towns in the Central Coast — Toukley, Wyong, The Entrance and Gosford — Christmas on the Coast kicks things off on December 1st and runs throughout the month leading up to the big day, with Christmas window displays, DIY Christmas photos, and Christmas carols events in each town centre.

You could even go all out and spend Christmas here at the Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific and enjoy a few days of relaxing on the beach, sipping drinks by the pool, or catching up on Christmas TV and having a well-deserved snooze in your luxurious room.
