Taste the Central Coast with a beer from Bay Rd Brewing, just a 20 minute drive from the hotel. Bay Rd Brewing is a local craft beer brewery, brewing craft beer including lager, pale ale, XPA, IPA as well as seasonal beer for people to enjoy.
Did you know that the world’s most lustrous and rare Akoya pearls are grown right here on the Central Coast? Board a catamaran at Woy Woy where an experienced skipper will immerse you in the story of our locally grown pearls, as well as introducing you to the pearling team who reveal the intricacies of pearl farming. Also explore the incredible local marine wilderness where iconic pelicans and abundant fish are a living display of the coast’s thriving marine ecosystem and home to the world-class pearls.
Experience Terrigal from the water with Terrigal Paddle Boats located on Terrigal lagoon, just a 10 minute walk from the hotel. For a fun adventure with your family, partner or group of friends, choose to hire a paddle boat or stand up paddle board. If you need a little guidance, you can book a stand up paddle board lesson with Mark Chandler, or just sit back on a paddle boat and relax as you paddle through the gorgeous Terrigal Lagoon.
Learn to ride the tide like a pro with a learn to surf lesson right on Terrigal beach. Central Coast Surf Academy offers all types of lessons for children and adults alike from complete beginners through to elite & high performance surfing and even corporate groups. You’ll learn everything you need to feel comfortable and competent in the ocean. Central Coast Surf Academy offers expert instructors and will also provide all your equipment so you can focus on having fun.
If you’re a car enthusiast explore automotive history at Gosford Classic Car Museum. Showcasing over 450 cars and motorcycles it is the largest car museum in the southern hemisphere. While you’re there you can grab a bite to eat at the 1950s inspired diner, where they serve breakfast, burgers and lunch classics.
There is no better way to experience the Central Coast’s beautiful natural environment than on the water. There are many places that will hire kayaks out for the day so you can have your own self-guided kayak adventure. Alternatively, take a guided kayak tour where you will learn all about the local area.
Enjoy the Central Coast with a fun filled day of water activities. At Avoca Lake, you can choose to hire a range of different aquatic gear including kayaks, stand up paddle boards and paddle boats. If you need a little more guidance try a stand up paddleboard lesson. Alternatively, take in the beautiful environment with a kayak eco tour where you will learn all about the history and ecology of Avoca Lake.
There is no limit to the variety of activities on offer at Glenworth Valley, a family run business providing outdoor adventures. Take your pick of horse riding, quad biking, abseiling or laser tag skirmish. There are so many options to keep the whole family busy all in an amazing environment filled with rock formations, rainforest and open pastures. Keep your eyes peeled for some native wildlife.
The Central Coast is well known for its beautiful beaches and stunning coastline. Try the Putty Beach to Pebbly Beach walk which provides 8km of stunning coastal views, national forest, kangaroos and plenty of beautiful little beaches to take a swim along the way. This relatively easy hike located through the gorgeous Boudi National Park is characterised by sweeping views, shady rainforest and inviting picnic spots. If you are visiting during the winter months, keep your eyes peeled for whales as they make their way North.
The Central Coast boasts some amazing local markets year round providing fresh produce to furniture and everything in between. Avoca Beachside Markets are held the fourth Sunday of every month and have plenty to keep the kids busy. Don’t miss out on the Art tank, an interactive eco art zone and craft circle. The markets are held right near the oval so there is plenty of room to kick the football around and enjoy all the amazing food on offer at the markets for a great day out.
