Apart from the exquisite beaches and natural environment, Pelican Feeding at The Entrance is considered the most popular tourist attraction on the Central Coast. The event operates 3:30pm daily, 7 days a week, every day of the year. By participating, visitors have the opportunity to learn about the pelicans and other interesting information about the area.
Pelican feeding started over twenty years ago, when staff at a local fish and chips shop threw out their scraps. The pelicans soon grew accustomed to their free meals and would cross the road and wait patiently outside the shop if the staff were late.
