WHISKY, BEER, FOOD AND BANTER: THE PERFECT FRIDAY NIGHT.
Warm up this winter and learn a thing or two about the delicate art of whisky and beer pairing at our unique and entertaining evening: The Boilermaker Dinner.
On Friday the 10th August, Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific are teaming up with local boutique craft brewery Block n’ Tackle to bring you the Boilermaker Dinner, a celebration of great beer, delicious whisky and delectable food.
The boilermaker is a traditional drink pairing, matching a beer with a shot of whisky and is believed to have received its name from the drink that workers who built and maintained the steam locomotives in the 1800s consumed at the end of their shifts.
Block n’ Tackles’ own Michael ‘Pep’ Pepper will be joining in on the fun, providing an interactive learning experience about the age old tradition of matching beer with whisky.
Executive Chef, Simon Quick has skilfully prepared a five course menu with each individual course perfectly matched with a Block n’ Tackle beer and whisky. Each course and the paired beer and whisky will be designed to either complement or pleasantly contrast each other.
Indulge in delicious food and drinks and spend the evening discovering the reasoning behind the pairing of each course, as your host Pep guides you through the dinner. Learn about each of the selected Block n’ Tackle beer styles as well as the selected whiskies.
